  • What is meant by a “flexible spending limit”? How does it work?

    A flexible spending limit is offered on our Ink Bold charge cards. To ensure you have the spending power you need, we review your account based on your spending and payment patterns on your Ink Bold card, your other relationships with us, and information obtained from personal and business credit bureau reports. We then adjust your spending limit to better meet your business needs.

  • How is Ink Bold different from a traditional business credit card?

    Ink Bold is a pay-in-full charge card that does not have a pre-set credit limit like traditional credit cards. Instead it has a flexible spending limit that is designed to adjust and grow to meet your business needs. However, while Ink Bold has a flexible spending limit, this doesn't mean unlimited spending capacity.

  • What is a charge card?

    Unlike a traditional credit card, a charge card must be paid in full each month. Since you don’t carry a balance on a charge card, you don’t pay any interest charges.

  • Why might an Ink Bold charge card be good for my business?

    Ink Bold provides you with the purchasing power your business needs and saves you money — you pay no interest charges because you pay off the balance in full each month. In addition, Ink Bold's flexible spending limit is designed to adjust and grow to meet your changing business needs. By using Ink Bold in place of checks or debit cards, you get cash flow flexibility, more rewards and additional purchase protection features. Since you have until the due date of your monthly Ink Bold statement to make your payment, you get up to 30 days to pay, depending on the purchase date.

  • How can I maximize my purchasing power?

    By using your Ink Bold card for all your business purchases and paying the balance in full each month, you will establish a history of spending and timely repayment. By establishing this ongoing relationship, your flexible spending limit will continue to adjust to meet your business needs. In addition, you may make multiple payments each month to further increase your purchasing power, particularly during months when your spending needs may be unusually high. If you plan to make a large purchase, you should call us to let us know so we can work with you to ensure your spending capacity can accommodate your purchasing needs.

  • What should I do if I need to make a large or unusual purchase with my Ink Bold card?

    If you are planning to make an unusually large purchase you should call the number on the back of your Ink Bold card first. You will have direct access to an Ink Bold business card specialist who can review your account with you to ensure that you have the spending capacity for the purchase in question. In addition, if you are planning to travel internationally, call us in advance to be sure your purchases will go through and that your account remains safe and secure.

    5,000 bonus points
    You will qualify for and receive your bonus after your first purchase/first use of the card. First purchase/first use includes purchases, balance transfers, or any checks that are used to access your account, and excludes cash advances. After qualifying, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for bonus points to post to your account. This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts.     Earn one point for every one dollar you spend

    You will earn 1 base point for each $1 of net purchases. In addition, you will earn 2 bonus points for each $1 of eligible net purchases made at retail establishments that classify their merchant locations for Visa/MasterCard as gas stations, restaurants, hardware stores, home improvement stores, and office supply stores. Purchases not eligible to receive the 2 bonus points include, but are not limited to, purchases made at convenience stores, superstores, warehouse clubs, and discount stores. Why did you start your own business?
I was driven by my desire to create my own business and a uniquely creative, untraditional professional culture. I just really enjoy owning my own company and seeing business from all angles.
What advice would you give other small business owners?
The way you manage your cash and growth directly correlate to success. I truly believe that small businesses should use the resources offered to them. For instance, the Ink from Chase card and the tools it provides have enabled us to successfully manage our vendor pay.
If you have used other rewards programs before, how does the experience with Ultimate Rewards compare?
I use AMEX as well and both are good. However, Chase is better for me because I tend to get more “bang for my buck.” If I spend 100,000 points on AMEX, I don’t get what I could have gotten using my Chase card.
